It is defined as the fringe of land at the edge of a large body of water. This fringe is influenced and shaped, despite its local geology largely by the water. The element is fundamental but it is not the only to play a role, wind and dynamics between the both, give us a remarkable landscape, familiar but at the same time unknown, with dunes that change as we seen them and plants that grow and became buried in front of our eyes.
This understanding was the beginning to a photographic collaboration
between two Portuguese photographers, Fábio Silva and Carlos Cancela Pinto. The relations of space between elements, their shape, details and the influence of light was
captured by both photographers as a living landscape, rather than a fixed
object.
